Given Cody Johnson’s longtime status as an independent performer, it may be surprising how much of his music has been released in his career. He’s developed a diverse discography that consists of eight studio albums, eight singles, and 4 music videos as well as other appearances. Many of his studio albums were released under the CoJo label, which is a name that Cody Johnson was known as while he was growing up.

Studio Album Releases

While Cody Johnson has always enjoyed a strong local following, especially when he started releasing albums, it wasn’t until his later period of work that he began to reach worldwide fame and made it to music charts across the globe.

For instance, 2014’s Cowboy Like Me was released to much critical acclaim. It peaked at #7 on the US Country Albums chart as well as the US Indie albums chart. And it peaked to #33 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart. Many critics and fans agreed that the recognition was well worth it as Cody Johnson had shown some of his best work at the time.

And it paved the way for his next major success with the August 2016 release of Gotta Be Me. This album peaked at #2 on the Country albums chart and made it up to #11 on the Us Billboard Hot 200 albums charts. The album also enjoyed commercial success selling over 43,000 copies in the US alone.

And his most successful album, Ain’t Nothin’ To It was released on January 18, 2019. The album made it to the top of the US Country Albums chart and peaked at #9 on the US Billboard Hot 200. It was also certified Gold by the RIAA.
